to regear your truck you will need the following;
new gears front and rear, (or just rear depending on if your truck is 2wd or 4wd) i would recommend a 4.56.
you should get the install kits as well.
some things you will need are a dial indicator, a pair of calipers, access to a press, various hand tools, a vice, torque wrench, and patience.

You will need pretty much everything Rico mentioned. Call around and get some prices for a full install. You may find they might be cheaper than buying all the parts and if not, it may be worth a hundred or two to save yourself all the headache involved.

But it really depends on your mechanical ability.
