A 2015 Wildtrack 3.2 located in Thailand, what is the best diesel engine oil. Either MOBIL SUPER 3000 (CF) 5W30 or Shell HELIX HX8 SYN D 5W30 CF A685. Your advice would be appreciated additionally how often to change the oil an ter ad what additives are highly commended.

My brother with the chemical engineering degree recommends all oils that are derived from shell deposits. That means all Shell and Mobil products. When I drove a truck all of our Detroit Diesels, Cummins, Caterpillar and whatever was in the International Prostars had Shell Rotella 15W-40 or 15W-30. Even though the company traded them out after 4 years. At 400,000 miles they were barely broke in.

I went with the Mobil synthetic oil, oil purge first then synthetic oil and then an oil additive. The engine loves it. 😃

I have heard even better things about Royal Purple as long as you can afford it
