I have a 98 Explorer. When I'm running AC and I accelerate I hear heater air doors closing and opening and air comes out different vents until I let up on the accelerator. I am assumign this is vacuum related and that there must be a vaccuum check valve in the system gone bad. But I cannot find a vaccuum diagram for the vehicle to show me where the check valve is. Can anyone help? Is there a possibility of installing an after market vacuum reservor in the system? Thanks

Thanks! I had tried to do a search on the AZ website, but didn't come up with anything useful. Looks like this diagram has enough info to be useful. Now if I can just locate the components under the hood I might find the problem. :-\

Thanks, I found the lines to it the other day, I never saw the reservoir, but assumed the lines went to it. I put a check valve in the line and now, regardless of engine rpms or acceleration, the the vetilation doors stay constant. Problem solved! :)
