Hi all,
My check engine light came on a couple of weeks ago. I tested it and it came up with a P1443 code. I was advised that the gas cap should be replaced first but that did not resolve the problem. I was then told on another forum that the problem was probably a canister purge solenoid valve. I replaced that part as well and still, no joy.

Has anyone else seen this? Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Joe.

I ended up replacing the Evaporator Canister and the Solenoid Purge Valve. It has not come back on. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Motorcraft CX741 Fuel Vapor Storage Canister - $75.00
Motorcraft CX1158 Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid - $45.00
$120 - To have the system smoke tested.

$240
