Nah, the D44 diff covers are metal.

Those look beefy! ;D

Since the TTB d35 uses the beam for the cover it is thick enough. The week point on the TTB d35 is the aluminum housing, something comes up under the housing it will rip it off the beam. The best thing to make for it is a skid plate that goes from the bottom holes on the diff to a clamp around the yoke.



this is my next little project.

mine are plenty beafy there made out of 1 1/4 tubing that is 3/8 thick i dont think ill have any problems.

That TTB D35 guard is some very nice work i like it!

I havent built mine yet but I start my winter break on Wednesday so I will get to work on it soon. Plan to make it out of 1/4 plate. I hate being 2 hrs from my shop with all my tools and welder.
