It's getting towed to my house tomorrow at 4:30.

Re-tear down will begin shortly after (probably tomorrow or Thursday night).

Finishing my SAS >:?

Here is my projected timeline:

April 13th - Get truck towed to house
April 17th - Have front suspension completely removed and axle torn apart
April 24th - Have axle put back together with new brake components
May 1st - Have axle (Wagoneer D44) modded to resemble specs from EB D44 (radius arms & coils)
May 8th - Install coil buckets and radius arm drop brackets
May 15th - Install front axle into truck

May 16th to June 30th - Fine tune everything

July 1st - Wheel the hell out of it

Pictures as promised....

As she sat at my parent's house (got pollen?)

At her new home (ready for breakdown)

I would have started a tear down tonight, but damn tow truck was 3 hours late. I would have gotten a picture of it on the tow truck, but my heart was in my throat as I was afraid it was going to tip off the truck. It actually 3-wheeled once... LOL

More to come...

Just a quick update! 4/15/11

I purchased the needed steel (square tubing and plate) to make my radius arm / transmission crossmember. The steel should be here next week.

The tear down may take a few more days than expected as I would like to get the radius arm drop mounts and crossmember installed before taking the current suspension out of the truck. I'll try to get some pictures of all the parts I have tonight.

No, but it could have been done a little better. I could have made better brackets for the springs.

Now that I have all the parts for the coil setup, I'm just going to go ahead with that. I'll probably use the leaf parts on my BII.

LOL... 40 inches is up there man!

You're probably going to have to run an air suspension setup that way you wouldn't have to ride that way all the time.
