I'm confused... what Explorer axle swap? Are you talking about the manual locking hubs for 4wd? Aren't those on the front?

Wait, your username is mudslinging79. Are you talking about the compact pickup Ford Ranger, or a "Ranger" and "Explorer" edition F-150?

I think he's talking swapping out the auto hubs on an explorer front.

ok, I swapped front and back axles for those of a 95 sploder, and am looking for manual 4x4 locking hubs for my front axle, to repace the auto hubs. as for the 79, my first 4x4 was a 1979 gmc... hence my alias

Sorry, all the ones I got I'm keeping. And shipping would make the price unreasonable. Best to check kijiji or craigslist and junkyards. That's where I find my best deals. I found a rusted '87 ranger hi-rider - it had from the factory a front 2" lift, 4.10 gearing, auto w/man. t-case...all that for a case of beer....oh, and manual locking hubs. I know it's for a d-28 but I still run the smaller axles in my b-II.
Good luck,

Richard
