heres the ranger, far from done...

to go:
black cobra r 20s with 265/50R20
budget 1/2 drop (as its a 4x4, and i need that for the winter)
adding a hood scoop to the stock hood (instead of cowl)
cleaning up the engine bay
swapping out the horrible clutch
throwing a valentine 1 radar detector in, hardwired of course
taking the brush guard/lights off the front

and selling everything else that im not using so i dont put more money into her.. :(

hope you enjoy

budget 1/2 drop (as its a 4x4, and i need that for the winter) what is a 1/2 drop ?
adding a hood scoop to the stock hood (instead of cowl) Good idea! Would look better
cleaning up the engine bay
swapping out the horrible clutch
throwing a valentine 1 radar detector in, hardwired of course bwa-ha-ha-ha >:D
taking the brush guard/lights off the front yes

and selling everything else that im not using so i dont put more money into her.. :(

A great start. keep it up. 8)

That's sweet man! Gotta love the power!!
Very nice!!! Got any videos of that power?
not right now..the clutch is a stage 5 spec clutch, soo its REALLY harsh on the drivetrain...but i might take a video this summer when i burn off those tires...inspection is june..so i need new ones by then :) ahah

it puts out 281rwhp/318rwtq on a very conservative 12 degrees timing, 14 psi peak boost in 4th gear, 130 degree intake temps, no water meth or any cooling agent
well it sounds like a hell of a base! Are you still running stock internals or are you planning on moving to forged internals eventually to get that psi up?
im stopping here..i dont want to keep putting stuff into it, cause i have already figured out, once you start with big horsepower, you dont wanna stop, and horsepower costs money...i could easily put water meth on it, and the tuner said that would bring it up to about 16-17 degrees timing, 15 psi peak boost, 320rwhp/350ishrwtq....but then i have to start worrying about other stuff..i wanna be able to play around with it you know?..i could easily poke out 360 with a 25-40 shot of NOS onto the water meth..i could even go with a smaller pulley...but thats pushing the motor (head gaskets in particular)

its a fully built motor,
weisco 9.4-1 pistons
all that jazz

theres no reason to get that psi up...if i went lower compression with the pistons..i could go to a smaller pulley but i would still be making about 14psi..kinda a trade off there...i dont know how many people are constantly running 15+ psi on their 4.0 SOHC, turbo would be better because of the intercooler..but still thats alot to put on the stock head gaskets and head studs

nice
any thing blown is cool in my books .we have a burn out topic,in site oldford is the king as it stands now. 8)
lol, why thank you!
Yes nice truck looking good and yes blown is sick 8)
thanks guys, hows the 4.0 population here?..me and my friend were looking to sell that manifold that holds the supercharger.
the population is pretty even between the 4 bangers, 3.0 and 4.0. Might be able to find a few power hungry 4.0 guys!
SOHC's arent too popular here though.
true. more so OHV.
Yeah, I got a 4.0... but's an OHV :(

Don't be sad, The OHV 4.0 is where its at. Low end torque and no plagued timing chain issues.
yaa..timing chain setup was a bear to work with when putting the engine back together.
i love it
