Ive seen it before but just curious if it will even make a difference in the engine health or performance... Its the JET Performance Low Temperature Thermostat... Anyone have experience and/ or reccomend it? I can get it shipped to me for only $16 and figured i would get it if theres any benifits from it. Thanks!

well the engine needs to warm up to run at its best but you have to know what the best for your truck is and with the dummy gauges in rangers it is hard to say what the temp is at. unless your truck runs warm i wouldnt waste the money. over time the motor wares out and you need to keep it cooler so after some time ya it might be the right way to go but not for now i would say bro

okay, well im gonna take to a friend's shop and do some temperature trials and see what he thinks too. He said he'll see the running temps of the truck and all. I have a feeling it may be running warmer than stock cuz with the intake and shortened exhaust the fuel mixture is lean and in turn the engine is having to work harder. I my order it and try it for a while and then swap it back out if it doesnt need it i guess. Its cheap so....

the exhaust should not lean it out from being right in front of the wheels it really just adds sound to the setup. performance is not really affected its not a hipo motor so it shouldnt change from it being in front or behind the wheel bro. as for the cold air intake after pulling the batt for five min or so should have fix the lean prob.

Well, it does fix it some but the guy that im gonna take it to eventually to dyno it said that it will strive to correct it but it can only do but so much. He said that it will adjust to be in a stable running state with mixtures but it doesnt know what to do with these changes. Thats why i figured it still running a tad lean... its def not running rich cuz it doesnt smell like it and its sure as hell not running perfect, ya know?
