I thought I would show how I made my l/s . (pics later) This works on open diff. d-28 and 9" (personally done it) and probably any ford drop out pumpkin. The pros - cheap and still turns corners. The cons - not a locker and wears out quickly. Just add an extra thrust washer behind the side gear ( terminology may not be correct, use a book or know what your doing. Me or this site are not responsible for your stupidity!). Make sure to mark and install the bearing caps in the same position. I've done this with a 9" behind a 68 Torino w/429 auto - no problems. And a d-28 in my b-II - no problems. The only thing I noticed it can get a little scary going across the side of a hill (in snow-the only 4x4 experience I have :-[ so far ;D).Hope this helps, good luck.
