I had bought this part from ebay: http://www.wheelstiresandmore.com/parts/1993/ford/ranger_pickup_4wd/auto__lighting/side__marker__lights/fo2521116v/product-detail.aspx

The original reason that I had to buy it was because it flew off on the highway due to not being properly secured. Now I am faced with the same dilema where I only have the top screw to hold it in place, there are 2 other metal screws coming out of the new light but the thread is static meaning you can't screw any bolt onto them leaving me to believe it is to be held in place by something else. All my trial and error, and investigative work led me to finding this:

http://www.pointe-products.com/Items.aspx?MainCatID=&Keywords=95-7366

Is this the proper security fasteners needed for the other 2 screws on the light? If so, is this all I need in addition to the bolt for the top screw or is there something else I am missing? Also, if t his is not the right piece to be buying, what is it I should be buying here?

Thanks in advance for all who can help.

That is the correct corner light for the 93-97 Ford Ranger.

However, the fastener that you linked to is for the headlights, not the corner lights. I'm pretty sure the corner lights just pop into place.

Are you missing any pieces that are attached to your header panel? Also, you could check the other corner light to be sure which fasteners (if any) are needed.

IT seems like there are pieces missing where the 2 wierd screws I discussed earlier fit into, the holes are square, so I tried putting license plate security piece in each of the squares http://img0.fastenal.com/thumbnails/0162841_hr1c.jpg

It almost worked but the holes are just a tad too small when the plastic is put into the header panel but are perfect alone. SO I was going to put them in the header panel and drill the hole just a bit gigger allowing me to set the light in place but then I thought to myself if I am able to get the light in easily, then it will more than likely come out just as easily.

That being said, the only think I can do is look at the other light, something difficult to do because I never get home before it's dark. I should also add that the same part I mentioned earlier can be seen here as well:

http://www.indupla.de/8_Headlamp2005.pdf

And mentions:

95-7366
Replaces: F97Z-13N129A, 5288722AA,
RETAINER-HEADLAMP ADJUSTING BAR
& SIDE MARKER LAMPS
To Header Panel
Ford Ranger ‘93/, Mustang ‘94/,
Chrysler Neon 2000/
UNIT PACKAGE 15

If anyone knows off hand what I am missing, please let me know.

I'll check when I get home tonight and see if there is a part number. I'll also try to snap a couple pics.
