Hey, I just recently got a 2000 ford ranger xlt. The older guy I got the truck from said the spark plugs kept going out but had them recently replaced so it ran with no problems. But now I have a check engine light on about a bad spark plug. Just wondering what causes spark plugs to go bad so quickly. The truck only has 153,730 miles, clean title, and I just have no experience with rangers.

Had the same Issue 6 years ago when I bought a 1999 Ranger, turns out the head gaskets were going, eventually did, Replaced with new designed heads and never had a plug issue again ....
