Does anyone make a kit to replace the electric shift ( 2WD , 4WD Hi , 4WD Lo ) motor on my truck ( '98 Ranger ext. cab 4x4 ) with a manual shift lever ?
Nope. I thought about making something to convert my old case, but I found a manual 1354 case for an awesome price. It would take an awful lot to make something durable and reliable. The biggest challenge is the fact that the shift shaft is on the back of the case.

Can I use vice grips on a piece of rubber over the shaft end to turn it to match with the motor?
