I recently purchased a 2020 Ranger Lariat extended super crew cab and I’m having difficulty installing a front facing car seat. The process is to use the seat belt for strapping in the seat then the rear harness to hold the seat in place. In an SUV, you have clear access to the harness mount but not with the Ranger. So I can’t see how to secure the harness to the mounting clip behind the seat back then be able to tighten it up. I’ve searched most every Ranger site and youtube and can not fine a solution. Surely someone has solved this issue. Any ideas?

The owners manual has several pages on installing the child seat. I have attached the directions from my 2021 Ford Ranger Owners Manual. I hope this helps.

Thanks Hotrod, this was very useful but it doesn’t fully address how to use the harness. Guess I’ll go by ford and see what they say.
