So here is what happened....My CEL came on so I pulled the code it was P0303 or P0306. Anyways it was cylinder #6 missfire. So I went and bought new plugs cleared the code... 2 weeks go by and CEL pops back up... I pull the code same as before. I go to Auto Zone buy some plug wires switched those out.

Let me say this when it warms up in the morning or I am stuck in bumper to bumper traffic it comes on 4 times now.

So I installed the new wires cleared the code... Well once again it came back on 2 days later sitting in bumper to bumper traffic it idoled rough and choppy. Then the CEL came on again same code.

This time I checked the coil Pack I switch 6 cylinder wire with the one directly across from it on the pack used pliars to hold on the exhaust manifold and got a purple spark. So I put the #6 wire back on the pack and tried it again and purple spark really weak purple both times...

So I grabbed an old sprk plug that was in the truck before wire brushed it set the gap to 55. Use the pliers to hold it down fired it off again huge orange spark this time like a bright flash of light. Installed the spark plug and started it up let it idol for 15 min nothing no CEL. So I thought I will wait and see what happens when i warm the truck up in the morning thats when it usually comes on.

I let the truck warm up in the morning the light has stayed off for more than 3 days now. I have been driving in traffic it seems to be working... Even in bumper to bumper traffic idoling the light still has stayed off. A little info I had motorcraft plugs in the truck before switched to autolite 764's. My ohm reading on my 6 cylinder plug wire was 9.6 ohm's and the rest was 11.8 ohm's.

Alright guys iI posted this to let you guys know I hope it may help some body out some time.... :p

In the morning I letrm up nothing been driving it for 3 days in traffic again just sittin ther idoling working perfect.

nope still trying to figure it out. i am going to hook up the vacuum gauge to it oil pressure gauge. But the light comes on when warming up then stays on and then after awhile every time i think it's a crushed lifter or a sticky valve. I will keep you posted on my results..

Had the same problem trying to get rid of a faulty code in the taurus. Turned out to be a burned through vacuum line on the bottom of the throttle body. I had already replaced half the sensors, had the injectors cleaned but still had a rough idle and often quit waiting for traffic lights. Good luck...
