anybody have any cool ideas for center console, becuase i have two more months of wood shop and i need a project to build and i thought of a center console. so, any ideas?

idk man post a pic of ur interior for me i may have an idea but i need to see what ur dealing with and i thought u were going to paint ur overhead console white man i still think it would look sick as hell

BADINTEN has a center console he made in his build thread I think that's where I seen it maybe that will give you a idea...

i think i have i have a general idea of what i want but it seems pretty plain jane, my plans are for it to be 11" tall, 9" wide, 37 1/2" long. and i got this cup holder idea that i think is pretty sick but you see it every where in every car. but still any more ideas is great.

white leds or blue leds in it i was thinking of throwing the idea out of a small lcd screen but i think ur shifter would get in the way so i threw that idea out but leds in it would be sweet i have afew more ideas but i'm looking at if they would fit in there

LED's would be pretty cool where would you place them? under the lid?

yes go to autozone or ask olford if he can get u led strips and put them so they shine on the back so all behind ur seats it will be white or blue and under the lid yes and maybe on the bottom sides of the console so under ur seat will glow

oh and see if u can ask ur mom if she knows of a fabric store near u and go there and see if they have some nice fake leather that will go with ur interior and put it on ur center console after u make it like i did with my encloser and my lcd box but i went all out and got real leather and it was expensive

yea theres a fabric land like half hour away from my house, i gotta go ther and get me some thin carpet or someting to cover my sub boxes anyway

I would put some cup holders and storage cubby compartments in between the armrest storage area and the stick shift if it were me.

yea there definatly going to be some cup holders, i wanted to build them in to the angled part of the starage area and have them slide out when i need it to hold drinks

that would work man looks good but i have a better idea for the cup holders make them into the wood like west said and get some light stripes and line the top of the cup holder so they light up like the new fords cup holders

today i got the base built and done now all i have to do is the storage part which should be done by tomorrow. ill get pics up probably tomorrow afternoon hoprfully

just got my center console done it looks good in my opinion i still need to take some pictures of it thought and i need to buy some thin carpet but other than that she is done. ;D
