Well, ive got my royal purple differential fluid and need to change whats in it soon. I just got my brand new diff cover to my 8.8" and the gasket in the mail yesterday. It was only $15 for it and its fully stock OEM blasted parts. So, now that I have the new cover, im taking it to get black chromed at the powdercoat shop. Its gonna cost $65 to get it media blasted and black chrome plated. Once I take it in it will probably ake a week to get it back and then off to change the fluid and cover!

haha, you can see the diff cover even now. the spare tire covers the top half of it but i dont ride with the spare tucked under there a lot. when its not there you cann see the whole diff. So now I have the diff cover done, got 3 quarts of Royal Purple SAE 75W-90 to go in, and the gasket.

Any tips from experience on the process for when i do it? Im hoping to get it done over the weekend at some point... just as long as the snow doesnt pile up on Virginia Beach like they say it will!

Thanks man! Its a brand new stock one that I got for $18 on rockauto.com. The black chrome cost a little over $65. Then the RP cost $20 a bottle. Its gonna look sweet but it has cost me $135. On top of that this dumb snow storm just dumped 5 inches on us overnight here in VA Beach!!
