Anyone ever own two sets of tires and swap back and forth?

Ive got a pair right now that seem to do great on street, but im not really sure about offroad. I have a second set of rims, im just wondering if the idea is reasonable.

Also what is the widest tire you can fit on a 7 in wide rim?

Monster trucks do it, some people do it up here for winter, they have a set of winter wheels, and a set of summer wheels. I even seen people take off their street tires, to put on off-road tires to go off-road. It's all about if your willing to change 4 wheels all the time.

I don't know, what I seen on the trails up here in alaska are all kinds of vehicles I mean I saw a Ford Tempo on the back trails, make it through the mud.

a 10.50 wide should do just fine on that rim. there are guys that swear on running skinny tire's and there are guys that run wide tire's it just you preference. i like wide tire's. and about the two sets of tire's Ive tried that and it just seemed like hassle to change tire's out all the time unless you have winter and summer tire's then that's not bad.

I've never done it and I agree with cvalcore, dont go wider than a 10.50... it would run great!

11.5 would be pushing it...

The tread is very deep compared to other Wranglers but its also very soft compared to my Wrangler RT/S tires.
