I have a 2012 3.2L Wildtrak. From a standing start if you punch the accelerator hard to the floor there is a 1.5 second delay until the engine reacts. Doesn't sound much but very frustrating and in some circumstances dangerous I think.
The same throttle delay also exists when you are overtaking at speed.

Clearly it has been deliberately set up this way by Ford as I know others with the 2.2L engine and have the same problem. Does anybody know if there is a fix? Computer chip adjustment? Talking to Ford here in Thailand is a waste of time.
Has anybody spoken with Ford in other countries for an answer.

i do feel your dilemma. i feel it even if i am not in a stand still position. weird though. maybe our electronic throttle needs adjusting. i have not spoken to ford here in the Philippines about this issue.
