99 XLT factory OEM Alloy rims, are they 2 piece built-up rims with a weld?

Recently visited Costco tire shop. They said Costco will no longer offer the extended maintenance warranty (rotation, balance, etc.) because my rims had "welds" inside. Anyone have data as to whether this was standard construction?
