Hiya Forum,Im a new guy too.I just found this forum on google.I have a 1994 ranger standard cab with a v 6 4.0 motor.A few weeks ago it started giving me probs.Starting sometimes and not starting.Anyway.I swaped out the fuel filter and Bam,I was on the road again,,,,for a week.Now the same gimmick.But now wont start at all.Thought it had to be the fuel pump,changed that out,,,,still not starting at all,,,,,any one have any ideas?thanks and any help would be great,,,Lata P.J. Have you tried reading the codes?

Does it make a sound at all when you try to crank it? Clicking sounds?

Its not getting any fuel.It turns over,,,,some one told me it could be a bad ground wire,,,,not sure what to do next.

doesnt it need a crank position signal to activate pump?... does tach move when u crank it?...omg i just realized how old the post was ... geeezelouise i wonder if he ever got it fixed...

far be it from me old post or not but i would hit the rest set button for the fuel pump on the passager side kick panel under the glove box
