I want to lift my 87 ranger sxt. 6 inches. I know with the stock suspension and ride height I would only get 4 inches of life because this model came stock with a 2 inch higher ride height. Question is will I have to lengthen/shorten/replace my drive shaft after the lift? I know it's standard when doing anything more that 1.5-2 inches most drive shafts have to be lengthened. Thanks for any help.

Skyjacker has 6" lift kits for 87 ranger. anyway, according to National Tire and Wheel,
Generally, shafts must not be lengthened unless the suspension lift height is over 6 inches. Unless specifically noted in the installation notes, there is normally no need for replacement or lengthened drive shafts when the lift components are installed properly
