Okay guys...My 98 xlt super cap 3.0 ranger will kick into 4x4 high but not low! :'( What the Hell do i do guys! I have auto locking hubs on it to by the way. Any kind of help would be awesome. Thanks guys

and they are vaccum lock hubs

Are you putting the truck in neutral, foot on the brake, and completely stopped? Or if its a manual I think you gotta have the clutch depressed as well. If you are doing all this, I would imagine that it is either the shift motor, wiring or an internal problem in the transfer case if you are still getting 4-high.

It is a standard but i normally just put it in neutral and push the brake down and yes i am completly stopped but it is still doing it. so you think it could just be in the transferr case?
