Some reviews of the new Ranger are already starting to make their way online. Although Aussies aren't traditionally fans of smaller turbocharged engines there were quite pleased with the refinement of the powertrain and the amount of technology in the new truck. They do think its on the larger end of the spectrum for a midsize and found there to be some hesitations from the new 10spd auto. Overall it got an 8.4/10 https://www.caradvice.com.au/700516/2019-ford-ranger-xlt-2-0-4x4-auto-review/

I think they're missing the bigger picture and its that sales of the F-150 and similar pickups in that segment are doing so well that it makes space for the Ranger.

Having seen the new Ranger and F150 side by side, I can tell you there is a notable difference in the size of these two trucks. Yes the new Ranger is much larger than the previous gen model we saw in NA, but that's been the case with basically every new generation pickup.

Just wait till you see the 2020 model that will bring drastic changes. Size might not change but its new design language should create the perception its bigger. In spy shots, shown to someone who doesn't know better, would believe its a F-150
