One of the things I’ve been wondering about the new Ranger is whether or not the bed is as good as advertised when it comes to handling payloads?
The fact that the Ranger is able to haul up to 1,860 pounds in rear-wheel drive is pretty reassuring. Especially considering that’s higher than the other mid-size trucks. By comparison, the Toyota Tacoma can carry 1,620 pounds, the Chevrolet Colorado can carry 1,566 pounds, and the Nissan Frontier can carry 1,460 pounds.
While it hasn’t been on the market in the United States since 2011 it has been a steady presence across the rest of the world. Which Ford is not shy to let us know about.
But for those of you who have their new trucks already, how are you using the Ranger’s vast payload? Are you using it as a proper work truck? Are you using it to handle all of your family’s needs? Has it handled all of your needs as a daily vehicle?
