Hi all,

I have a 2016 wildtrack bought from new. I love the truck, never had one before so this is all new to me. As i bought it new off the garage forecourt, i wanted to do the right thing and get it regularly serviced by ford dealers to ensure i could keep it in pristine condition and running for a long long time.

The truck is just outside of its 3 year warranty at the end of May, and i was driving down to a funeral when the engine coolant light came on. When i stopped the reservoir under the hood was MT. !!!
I filled it up with water and antifreeze, and 2 hrs later, it was MT again.

its in the garage now and its been decided it is the EGR cooler that is at fault, and will cost me £1,060.00 GBP to get fixed...... OMFG, how much.....

What im trying to find out, is this failure to be considered as a manufacturing defect, or can it be classed as wear and tear? I want to go to FORD and complain about this however i want to get my "ducks in a row" before i go banging on doors. Has any one else seen/suffered this issue?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
